Zombie cells can kill you. What is a zombie cell? They are free radical cells that create cancer and disease in our bodies. I use the phrase “zombie cell” because these pesky free radicals can attack and transform your cells into diseased cells, and they can just outright kill your good cells. Just like zombies attack and transform you, or attack and kill you. Having too many free radicals in your body will contribute to disease and cancer. Having natural anthocyanins will help your body fight back.
How do you fight back against these death building cells that enter your body? By consuming plant based food high in tiny phytonutrients called Anthocyanins. These amazing naturally occurring molecules assist our bodies in developing NK cells (natural killer cells). Guess what NK cells do? Absolutely, they fight and conquer zombie cells (free radicals) that try to harm us. By increasing your anthocyanin count, you will increase your NK cell count. Which obviously will make it very difficult for cancer and disease to enter your body. Very cool stuff.
I have mentioned in other posts how Phytoncides are released into the air by plants. Phytoncides also contribute to the manufacturing of NK cells in our bodies. Now here we see again how nature provides what our bodies need to remain healthy. Nature is the only way to a balanced, healthy life. Nature provides us with FREE healthcare.
Where can we find these awesome anthocyanins? I’m sure you’ve already figured out that they are found in nature. Nature is so cool that it even tells you which plants contain the most anthocyanins. Nature frequently uses color to tell us of a plant’s benefits, or dangers. In the case of disease fighting anthocyanins, the key is to look for the color purple, and to a lesser extent red. Purple and red fruits, vegetables, and herbs (even tree leaves turning color in the fall contain anthocyanins) are the best choice when looking to fight off virus, bacteria, and those pesky zombie cells.
You should try to eat purple foods everyday. However, every couple of days will definitely help take your body to a new level of defense. Blue and blackberries are my first choice and I eat them almost every day. Purple kale, grapes, even tomatoes are excellent sources as well.
Some plants rich in anthocyanins are Vacciniumspecies, such as blueberry, cranberry, and bilberry; Rubus berries, including black raspberry, red raspberry, and blackberry; blackcurrant, cherry, eggplant (aubergine) peel, black rice, ube, Okinawan sweet potato, Concord grape, muscadine grape, red cabbage, and violet petals. Red-fleshed peaches and apples contain anthocyanins.
What have we learned? Zombie cells (free radicals) create cancers in our bodies. Anthocyanins improve your immune system by increasing NK cell growth, thus preventing, or possibly eliminating cancers, viruses, and other diseases.
